However, there is few in-depth study of children’s perceptions of robot image. This study aims to inquire elementary school students’ perceptions of robot image, including children’s different impressions and perceptions on robot appearance, robot behavior and robot emotion. Children with different backgrounds have various perceptions of robot image. Results of this study could be references of robot’s design and development in the future. A questionnaire “robot’s image” was designed in this study to examine a large sample of elementary school students (N=154) to evaluate the questions about robot appearance, robot behavior and robot emotion. The findings include that elementary school student: have different perceptions of robot emotion with diverse robot appearance, children from different backgrounds have diverse perceptions of robot behavior and emotion, and children with different backgrounds have diverse preference for robot appearance.
