Quality of Service(QoS) is defined as the number of active sensors. The goal of QoS control is to control the number of active sensors for a desired number. Previous QoS control scheme is concerned with the entire sensing area. In this thesis, we focus on the regions of interest. The zoning-based QoS control scheme can be applied to military monitoring and traffic monitoring. In the regions of interest, efficiently controlling the active sensors to provide continuously a monitoring quality is necessary. This thesis points out three problems in the previous method. First, the active sensors do not accurately converge to the target. Second, the kernel area has adjustment problem. Third, the convergence time is too long. For the above three problems, this thesis presents Zoning-Based QoS Control (ZBQC) scheme. Moreover, the thesis adds three region types and multi-region extent. Simulation results show that ZBQC completely solves the above three problems, short convergence time and the number of active sensors to meets QoS requirements in regions of interest.
