For the majority of those are rotary machines and their relative transmission mechanisms such as motor, pump, fan and so on. By measuring and monitoring the vibration condition, for example- unbalance, misalignment, mechanism loosen or bearing damage - can evaluate the machine condition more effective and prevent them from getting worse in the early period. Currently the piezoelectric accelerometer has used for measuring vibration in general industries. There are two types in functional: basic program with microchip and the other is advanced software with data analysis, frequency analysis and able to deal with database in an extremely high cost. The communication industry has been grown up rapidly. Therefore, most of their products had built in with micro-machined accelerometer for measuring direction, angle and acceleration. Thus, the cost of the sensor has goes down quite substantially. This research tried to evaluate the feasibility study of using micro-machined accelerometer in vibration measurement in industry application. By using sensor, data acquisition card (DAQ) and LabVIEW software to deal with digital signal processing. Moreover, built up an actual mechanism in executing the vibration measurement and providing a more efficient way for cost saving. Although its limit on receiving high frequency signal this research still came out a considerable result in vibration measurement such as unbalance and misalignment. In the future, its ability of measuring three-axis (x, y, z) simultaneously make it possible for further study in detecting earthquake and its intensity.
