“Live and learn”, learning is never-ending. There are the desire and motivation to acquire new knowledge at any stage of life. Many researches have written about the motivation for recurrent education with working-people. And less are involved with information officers to participate in graduate education in-job advance studies. Thus, the purpose of this study is to explore the motivation for the people who have been completed the course and are studying for the graduate education in-job advance studies of information officers.
This case study adopted Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) to construct framework and design an expert questionnaire that is implemented within the department. The collected data obtained used Expert Choice 11.5 software to calculate the priority of all factors. The results revealed the top three critical factors in influence are as follows.
1.More participants are with seniors and experienced ones..
2.The impact on “workplace factor” is much larger than “relationship factor” and “learning factor”.
3.Unit atmosphere, Career advancement, Peer pressure ” were main factors contributing to in post-graduate studies under the criterions.
