Using an immersive environment could provide users a vivacious scenario to assist in learning, and such helping is the shortcoming of traditional 2D digital learning. In this virtual world, users could create their own avatar, explore freely and cultivate the abilities of problem solving. However, the current control mode is using keyboard and mouse, which is not intuitive and not fun. Since the launch of the Wii in 2006, it brought about the fashion of postural control. Thus, I used the Kinect postural control system instead of the traditional control system to enrich the user experience. This study intends to combine 3D virtual world learning and postural control system, to rise the interesting and enhance the users’ motion. Using the UDK to create a virtual botanical garden and the detection system of the Microsoft Kinect postural control could make users interact with NPC through limb swing. This study base on the assessment model for virtual reality learning model (Lee et al., 2010), and EGameFlow model (Fu et al., 2009), exploring the factors such as motivation, immersion, playfulness and satisfaction.
