This study investigated the effects of using electronic English storybook instruction on English learning attitude and achievements for different levels of junior high school students A pretest and posttest quasi-experimental design was used. In this study fifty-six eighth graders from two classes in Taichung were assigned to the experimental group and control group. The experimental group received seven weeks of English electronic picture book instruction, the control group received traditional instruction. Before teaching, both groups have accepted the English school achievement tests, after the experiments are done, the two groups have carried out post-test, and then ANCOVA analysis, in order to carry out significant differences between the assumptions tested. In addition, the experimental group received the "Junior English Learning Attitude Scale" before and after the test, and then paired t test, through statistical analysis of the results is as follows: First, an English electronic picture book teaching enhances students' learning achievement Second, English electronic storybook instruction doesn't enhance the achievement of high ability students Third, English electronic storybook instruction enhances the achievement of low ability students Fourth, electronic picture books in English teaching enhances students' learning attitude Fifth, English electronic storybook instruction enhances the learning attitudes of high ability students Sixth, English electronic storybook instruction enhances the learning attitudes of low ability students According to the results, some concrete suggestions were provided for teachers, the official educational government, and future researchers for further study. keywords: English electronic picture book, learning attitude, learning achievements 林炳賢 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 106 zh-TW
