The participants were 932 junior high school students in Taichung City and completed the Within-Class Ability Grouping in Subject Areas Questionnaire. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, and one-way MANOVA. The results of the study revealed that junior high students held positive opinions about within-class ability grouping teaching in subject areas. Junior high students’ opinions of within-class ability grouping teaching in subject areas were not affected by their gender. Seventh and eighth graders held more positive opinions about the effects of within-class ability grouping teaching in subject areas than ninth graders. Students with higher level of academic performance hold more positive opinions about the implementation of within-class ability grouping teaching in subject areas than the rest of students, while students with lower level of academic performance expressed more positive opinions about the effects of within-class ability grouping teaching in subject areas than others. 吳璧如 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 105 zh-TW
