First, this study analyzes the difference of mathematics attitude and anxiety base on students, demographic backgrounds. In addition, the study explores the factors which influence seventh grade students’ mathematics achievement. Based on the questionnaire method, this study applies purposive sampling and this study has 1177 samples from the populations of seventh-grade high school students in areas of Taichung City, Changhua County, and Nantou County. The questionnaire forms contain “personal information form”, “mathematics attitude scale”, “mathematics anxiety scale” and “mathematics achievement scale”. The questionnaire data are analyzed by such mehodoligies as descriptive analysis, t test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The main findings of this study are as follows: 1.The mathematics attitude and mathematics anxiety for junior high school students are both moderate. 2.Significant differences in both mathematics attitude and mathematics anxiety are observed in different genders, school scales, parents’ education level. Mathematics attitude for students from different areas is significantly different, but mathematics anxiety for them isn’t significantly different. 3.A significant positive correlation is found between mathematics achievement and mathematics attitude among junior high school students, while a significant negative correlation is found between mathematics achievement and mathematics anxiety. 4.Mathematics attitude and mathematics anxiety have a predictive power for mathematics achievement. Finally, the suggestions of this study can be the reference for schools, parents, teachers, and researchers. 陳美華 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 109 zh-TW
