Students’ sex, grade, living conditions, and eating patterns were considered. The experimental group is the students in seventh and eighth grade at certain junior high school in Nantou County. The control group is the students randomly selected from Changhua County, Nantou County, and Taichung City. The total of students involved in the research was one hundred and seventy-six. The students in experimental group took courses in food education lasting for six weeks. The fires step of it was to address the issues of food and environment, the status of Taiwan agriculture, agriculture and environment, and our diet and ecology. The second step of the course was agriculture experience. Three or four students formed a group and they experienced the process of growing vegetables and fruit. Questionnaire and in-depth interview were adapted before and after the courses. Through the research, it could be found that students didn’t know much about food issues and the status of Taiwan agriculture and neither did the effect of their eating behavior on our environment. However, the significant difference appeared after the courses were applied. Furthermore, during the course of agriculture experience, students not only showed their positive and enthusiastic attitude but also realized the difficulty to get food and farmers’ hard work. Through the implement of food education and agriculture experience, it is the main purpose that to have junior high school students caring much more about their own culture and agriculture and emphasizing the issues of environment, agriculture, and food.
