Summary: | 碩士 === 國立體育大學 === 體育研究所 === 101 === This research aimed to plan a morning physical activity program that is suitable for elementary grade one students, and to investigate both the students’ and parents’ perception of the influence from the morning exercise after implementing the program. The method adopted for this study was action research and the participants were students from the researcher’s class. Based on the children’s development and interest, the researcher planned the morning physical activity program that lasted for twelve weeks, during the entire period, the program was constantly revised and improved to overcome with difficulties. Thus, it changed the schoolchildren’s sedentary lifestyle, and increased opportunities for exercise substantially by achieving the goal of exercising for at least 210 minutes per week. Data were collected from interviews, observations, questionnaires, teaching log and other methods to investigate the students’ and parents’ perception regarding the influence of the morning exercise during the implementation of this program. After implementing the "Morning physical activity program", the researcher cross validated all data from the inspected teaching logs, the questionnaire which assessed the students’ and parents’ perception of the program’s effect, children’s learning sheets as well as the interviews with parents . Results showed that the children and parents had high acceptance of this program overall.During the implementation of the program, students attained sports knowledge and the teacher gave timely positive feedback which in turn, allowed each student to feel joy of success. Regular exercise habits have also been rooted in the students’ lifestyle. According to the study's findings and conclusions, future research suggestions were discussed regarding the morning physical activity program.
