Summary:碩士 === 國立暨南國際大學 === 輔導與諮商研究所 === 101 === The purpose of the study was to investigate the difference of the Choice of Online Game Type and Psychological Needs of Hu-wei junior high School students from the 1st grade to 3rd grade. There are 328 junior high school students participated in this survey. All participants were administered the Basic Information Sheet, online gaming questionnaire, Psychological Needs Questionnaire. Test of Descriptive Statistics, Chi-square test and ANOVA were conducted and revealed the following results: I. The significant difference of online game participation is presented in gender, standings, and living with parents. II. The significant difference of Psychological Needs is presented in gender, standings and Number of sibling. III. There is no significant difference of Psychological Needs in grade and living with parents. IV. The significant difference of Psychological Needs is presented in the time teenagers spending on online game every day. V. The significant difference of Psychological Needs is presented in the choice of online game type. Finally, the researchers make conclusions, discussions and suggestions based on the results, to serve as reference for the school counseling practice and academic research.
