Multiple spatial streams can increase the data rate and channel capacity. Without increasing either the spectral bandwidth or transmit power by using spatial multiplexing (SM). The receiver requires detection schemes to decode signals. The maximum likelihood detection (MLD) can achieve the optimal performance, but the complexity of the MLD exponentially increases with the number of transmit antennas and modulation order. The processing delay and power consumption problems make it unrealizable in a practical system. In order to solve the problems, some sub-optimal methods had been proposed, like sphere decoding and QR decomposition and M-algorithm MLD. In this research, we focus on the QRM-MLD signal detection method. It is known that conventional QRM-MLD still owns high complexity at the high SNR range. Hence, we propose an adaptive candidate selection scheme to reduce the complexity of conventional QRM-MLD, and it can keep the same system performance with less candidates. We also propose to use error rate for judging the selection of candidates for QRM-MLD. It can choose high reliability nodes which satisfy the correct probability to decrease the complexity and achieve near MLD performance at the same time. Yin-Man Lee 李彥文 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 45 zh-TW
