Compared to heterosexual based violence prevention issues, the intimate violence of gay is rarely seen and hard to pay much attention. In order to further explore this uncharted territory for the issue, the researcher conducted a pilot study and tried to investigate the situation of violence in gay men intimate relationship. The purpose of this study is to understand the experience of violence, and the gay who in the violence how to interpret it. Orientation of this study based on qualitative and narrative research methods to the experience of the violence of the five gays as the theme of narrative and discourse analysis. And combined with the knowledge of researcher, explore the phenomenon of features and content. This study found that gay men in heterosexual mainstream society, forced by the identity of the sensitive and often difficult opening experience violence, just as in a double closet, all they can do is bear the pain silently, they can’t let people know that they are abused, or people will find out they are gay. In addition, the violence experience of gay is not only physically and mentally abuse, but also including intimidation, suicide harassment. Beside, in an unfriendly heterosexual hegemony environment, the threat of involuntary come out is a distinctive way of violence for the gay people, it cause psychologically a deep impact under the judgment pressure. Finally, this study suggests that the practitioners to reflect on the way of the violent interpretations, getting rid of the typical heterosexual construct intimate relationship violence.
