The survey sampled from the salesmen of financial industry, and used the convenience sample to collect data. In total, we sent out 600 questionnaires and 515 were collected back which was the returning rate of 85.8%. We used the descriptive statistics, paired-samples t-test, Pearson product-moment correlation, and hierarchical regression analysis to analyze the survey data. Based on the analytical results, conclusions were drawn as follows: 1. In the sales department of the financial industry, regardless of gender combination of the supervisors and subordinates, subordinates receive more career development and role modeling functions, but receive the least psychosocial functions. 2. In the sales department of the financial industry, the more career development functions are received by the subordinates, the better job performance are shown by the subordinates under the supervisors’ leadership. 3. In the sales department of the financial industry, the more psychosocial functions are received by the subordinates, the lower job stress are felt by the subordinates under the supervisors’ leadership . 4. In the sales department of the financial industry, the more role modeling functions are received by the subordinates, the more altruistic behavior are shown by the subordinates under the supervisors’ leadership . 5. In the sales department of the financial industry, the more psychosocial functions are received by the subordinates, the better job performance are shown by the subordinates in the same gender combination (male supervisors and male subordinates or female supervisors and female subordinates) of supervisors and subordinates. Finally, based on the conclusion of the study, implications for management practice and suggestions for further research were proposed. Hsiao,WanJung 蕭婉鎔 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 104 zh-TW
