It might cause negative impact on education and on school teachers’ passions. The main themes of this thesis are about campus violence, particularly on students’ physical harms caused by peers. This author tried to find whether schools were able to deal with campus violence by exploring strategy formation, strategy planning, and strategy implementation. By examining prevention strategies, counseling strategies and discipline strategies, the author attempted to study how student behavior could be changed and how parents and students could be satisfied with the school strategies. The A Case happened at B school was chosen in this study. Interviews included related students, parents, teachers, school administrator, counselors and principals. There are nine major findings: 1.Teacher’s capacity on changing students' violent behaviors was weak due to lack of management and counseling skills. 2.There was almost no difference on students’ behavior change for schools to inform Bureau of Education. Therefore, school representatives often choose not to inform. 3.There were not enough professional and qualified teachers or counselors at school. 4.There were problems on reward system with little incentive to change student’s behaviors. 5.There were interventions from media and politics. And it became difficult to make changes on student’s violent behaviors. 6.School curriculums were not designed properly. Students might not be interested in learning at school. 7.Roles and functions of dealing with school violence were not properly defined at the school. It caused disatisfaction of parents and teachers. 8.There was not enough resource for schools to deal with campus violence. 9.The other findings: (1) Re-education was needed for some students’ parents. (2) Compromise strategies were often used to deal with campus violence. (3) Some violent behaviors were not handled properly. Therefore, violent behaviors might be increased. Based on the above findings, this study proposes a number of campus violence strategy recommendations for parents, schools, education institutes, community and other researchers.
