Femtocell is a small, indoor base station in telecommunication. It is used to enhance the strength of signal and provide the function of wireless. It is suitable to applied in indoor positioning due to it is convenient. In this study, it uses the femtocell with algorithm of triangulation to implement the indoor positioning and takes the strength of signal to estimate the location by the relationship of the strength of signal and distance. Set different modes of setting to improve the accuracy of positioning. In this experiment, it proved the femtocell can be applied to the indoor positioning. For positioning by using femtocell, it can be applied combine to another portable device such as smart phone or tablet personal computer to provide the positioning service in future. Chin E.
