It’s a serious problem for us. For this reason, recent years the government tries to improve the reading comprehension ability by bringing up children’s reading habits with newer technologies like using e-books. However, if it makes children more learning anxiety while their learning because of use those technologies, as the result, the learning performance may become lower. Therefore, it’s necessary to reduce such state anxiety for improving children’s performance. This study aims to know the affects to children’s learning anxiety and reading comprehension while the intervention of Mozart K448 sonata in the children's reading environment. The equivalent time sample design was applied to this experiment and 38 elementary school children study in senior grade in Tainan participated. Using reading comprehension examines, open-ended questionnaire and learning anxiety scale for research tool and interview after our experiment. The result shows that : The Mozart music could (1) reduce children’s learning anxiety, (2) improve children’s reading comprehension performance and (3) there is no significant effect on learning anxiety and reading comprehension performance between different gender. The result of the interview shows that (4) children feel more relaxed by listening Mozart music while they are reading and would like to listen Mozart music when reading in the future. Music are easy-to-get and low-costing material and could combine with e-books’ multi-media feature easily, so that we could try to combine Mozart music in children’s reading task to reduce their learning anxiety and improve reading comprehension performance in the future.
