Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 土木工程學系碩博士班 === 101 === In recent years, roads are gradually being asked to execute their design and construction in a sustainable manner. This research aims to analyze the requirements and documentation of the construction activities and environmental related indicators of the American Greenroads rating system. It also seeks to evaluate five roadway projects each in America and Taiwan, referencing regional environment and regulations, while also interviewing the owners, designers and contractors about the problems one would face when using Greenroads. The study results show that of the difficulties the US projects faced, front-end factors accounted for 63% while the execution factor took up 37%. Of the nine difficulty reasons, cost and time was the highest (32%), with owner policy coming in second (20%). For the execution factor, resource technology was the highest (12%), with constructability and maintenability second (11%). For the Taiwan projects, front-end factors accounted for 80% while the execution factor took up 20%. Owner policy was the highest (42%) with cost and time second (28%), while the lack of experience (8%) and resource technology (8%) were both the highest. Difficulty of construction activities concentrated in a project’s front end in both America and Taiwan. Furthermore, the top two factors are owner policy and cost and time. The execution factor varies from region to region, resource technology is most difficult in America. Taiwan’s green road system has yet to be developed, the most difficult factors are lack of experience and resource technology. According to the different execution and achievement rates of construction activities, it can be summarized that the most difficult indicator is CA-5 equipment emission reduction, achievement rate is 0. While PR-6 waste management plan, PR-7 pollution prevention plan, CA-2 environmental training, CA-3 site recycling plan and CA-7 water use tracking are relatively easy. These indicators could be executed first in Greenroads.
