Summary: | 碩士 === 國立勤益科技大學 === 電機工程系 === 101 === The aim of a study on optimal Distributed Generation (DG) locations and sizes in distribution systems, since DG is a promising solution to many power system problems such as improve the voltage profile, power loss, etc. This thesis presents stability index and fuzzy theory to determine the optimal DG-unit’s location, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm and Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) algorithm to determine the optimal DG-unit’s size, and approach for distributed generation planning problem based on the power circle.
In this study, the purpose is to minimize the total system power loss and to improve the voltage profile, and the inequality constraints can be satisfied in radial distribution systems. The proposed method was tested on 33-bus and 69-bus distribution systems. The results of the proposed method were compared to an analytical approach and GA method, results obtained show that the proposed method can effectively solve the distributed generation planning problem.
