These foam have good mechanical properties and higher comfort. Compared with the general rubber, TPU foam possesses high strength, good toughness, light quality and anti-fatigue properties. This thesis use twice screw extrusion machine as well as two types of blowing agents (physical and chemical blowing agents) to prepare the TPU foam. We adjust the several of processing parameters (cylinder temperature, screw speed, resin flow volume, T die temperature and cooling temperature etc.) to control the density and surface type of TPU foam. Furthermore, we also study the basic physical characteristics of different blowing agents, surface morphology, surface adhesion, shock-absorbing analysis and to observe the changes in surface adhesion by surface treatment agent. By TPU foaming research and analysis results: with the lower density of TPU foam, its tensile strength, tear strength, elongation and hardness significantly reduce the trend as well as have a better shock absorption when we add the chemical blowing agents to TPU foam. Finally, we use the SEM, roughness meter and contact angle to investigate the effect on surface treating agent, the result showed that the surface of TPU foam use the surface treating agent of B-type have the lower contact angle, the higher rough morphology on surface and the better peel strength than untreated TPU foam.
