Under this trend, fantasy fiction has become a popular genre, and due to globalization, similar images and plots often appear in different works, forming the phenomenon of boundary crossing. Intrigued by this, I intend to see whether such boundary crossing occurs in Taiwan as well by comparing Japanese writer Baku Yumemakura’s Onmyouji and Taiwan writer Hu Die’s Jin-Zhou Master series. Both works belong to the fantasy category, yet refer to contemporary social problems. The two series share similar situations where ghosts interact with humans. This thesis compares the two series in the following respects: 1. Has boundary crossing occurred in Taiwan’s fantasy fiction under the influence of globalization? 2. Have Taiwan’s writer developed new aspects in fantasy genre? 3. How do Taiwan’s writer make their works different from others? 陳國偉 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 142 zh-TW
