Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 台灣文學與跨國文化研究所 === 101 === The research subject in this master thesis is about the reappearance of social phenomenon in Taiwanese films in the recent ten years which is divided into three parts/chapters. In the first part, I overview the general development of the film industry through 2000 to 2010, analyze the reserved and novel topics within, and indicate the conspicuous issues in these films. In the next step, I have my focus on the films concerned with “city/township/eastern part”, discussing how the locality in the movies is reappeared, and what the image of multiple space of Taiwanese is represented. In Chapter 4, within the issues discussed, I concentrate on three topics: the history narration of “the past time,” the media representing “realistic time,” and the death of “achrony”. Upon these three topics, I investigate the colonial image cross the age, and how the media work to reflect the role and the influence of media in our society. In the aspect of death narration, the value of funeral ceremony and its relative products and customs in modern society is discussed to criticize the authority extended.
