When the upper soil layers are too weak or incapable, piles are used to transmit the superstructure load to underlying bedrock or supported by the frictional resistance developed at the soil-pile interface. The surrounding environment might be influenced by the vibration subjected to pile driving. In this research, three cases will be studied. They are case 1-typical analysis without damping, case 2-analysis with damping and case 3-analysis with 1m long , 60cm thick curtain wall 6m away from the pile. Plaxis computer program is used to carry out the analysis of relevant dynamic mechanics behavior in the above three cases due to pile driving. The analyzed results include: 1. The acceleration coverage within the soil layer and the time history of acceleration with damping are relatively smaller than the vibration response without damping during pile driving. It indicates that the damping can reduce the vibrating motion during pile driving. 2. Although the construction of concrete curtain wall can not completely keep the vibration transmitting far away, it more or less provides the insulation to some degree to reduce the vibrating motion during pile driving. The main acceleration coverage within the soil layer is concentrated between the pile and concrete curtain wall. The acceleration coverage within the soil layer and the time history of acceleration are still smaller than the vibration response without damping, but greater than those under damping condition. It is apparently that the damping plays a great pole in the reduction of vibrating motion during pile driving. 3. From the analyzed results with little damping, the vibrating motion exhibits some value of acceleration in a specific distance away from the pile. This gives the request to evaluate the effect of man and building surrounding the pile driving. 黃添坤 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 78 zh-TW
