Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 國家政策與公共事務研究所 === 101 === This study is aim to explore the county - Taichung District Office - after the merger, concerning the association of civil servants quality of work life with organizational commitment level of consciousness, and suggests that the policymakers should avoid the immediate visual, and construct appropriate management process as a justification of the moment. In that, the organization can strengthen the performance, and create a vibrant and competitive organization.
This study first of all makes a survey research about the district office of Taichung’s twenty-nine public officials, and then based on the statistical data, this study hold an in-depth interview with executives. The study finds that:
(1)Perceived extent, quality of work life dimensions in a "relationship" variable perceived level up, "treatment benefits" perceived degree minimum; organizational commitment facets of "effort commitment" variable perceived level up, and "retention commitment" perception attainment is lower.
(2)Personal property variables and quality of work life, organizational commitment level of consciousness: "gender" variables and relationships, work environment, stipend benefits, job and family leisure were significant differences, "marital status" variables and stipend welfare significant difference, "the organ of years of service" variables and relationships, work content, stipends welfare significant difference, "Service where classrooms" variables and work and family leisure was significant difference, "the pre-merger service agencies under the jurisdiction" variables and work environment, there are significant differences in the content. Organizational commitment facets of: "gender" variable and "hard commitment" there is a significant difference, "marital status" and "the organ of years of service" variables and overall organizational commitment were there significant differences, "the pre-merger service agency jurisdiction." variables and "value commitment" significant differences exist.
(3)Before merger, the quality of work life and organizational commitment level of consciousness are better than service in Taichung County under the jurisdiction of the former public servants.
(4)The correlations between the variables of quality of work life and the variables of organizational commitment are positive.
This study makes the following recommendations:(1)Policy formation process should be consistent with the principles of justice;(2)Establishment of high quality organizational climate, creating employee happiness index;(3)Expand employee participation, the establishment of a common vision;(4)Face the problem about the agency of municipal district office positioning.
