They are key components applied in array antenna, power amplifier and high power transmitters. The most commonly used power divider is Wilkinson power divider . The amount power of each output port will be equal or unequal from the input port. The phase will be same for each output port. However, the area of quarter-wavelength transmission lines in the traditional Wilkinson power divider will be larger. So the Wilkinson power divider is not suitable in today's communication system. In this paper, IE3D and Ansoft Designer software are used to simulate the power divider for achieving miniaturization and broadband purpose. The 8 way broadband power divider using non-coplanar configuration is presented. The original size of 8 way power divider is 160mm×90mm×1.6mm, and the modified result is 91mm×78mm×38mm. The area is reduced to 50.7% of the original area of the power divider. The size of this product is smaller than that of commercially available products. The goal of the size reduction and the wide bandwidth design of the power divider is achieved in this thesis. Keywords:Power divider, Microstrip line, IE3D simulation C. H.
