In general, vehicle suspension is constructed with linear metal springs. Basically, the spring constant is designed for maximum load so that it can sustain the highest load. As a result, when load is low, the vibration frequency will be changed and that leads to uncomfortable bouncing frequency. Therefore, to improve the ride comfort covering both light load and heavy load, there are some new suspension struts have been researched and developed into related subjects. Development of the suspension strut component is related to complicated system dynamics and the design and analysis of the elastomeric dampers. Therefore, this research aims at “development of an Innovative suspension strut featuring a fixed resonance frequency", including theoretical derivation from required quality and displacement, and calculating the suitable rubber conical geometry shape using ANSYS. Testing the suspension strut parameters of the rubber conical with a universal dynamic tester and practical measurement, measuring the natural frequencies of the rubber suspension strut with accelerometer and camera. And a complete development of a suspension strut featuring a fixed resonance frequency was constructed based on the research results.
