This study focus on the separation technology of silver ions in silver liquid wastes. Included in the research are the selection of proper ion exchange resins for the adsorption of silver ions in silver liquid wastes and the preparation of regenerants of various concentrations for resin desorption reactions to obtain the optimal conditions of separation processes of silver liquid wastes. Appropriate operation conditions of silver waste liquid recovery are available by the analysis of adsorption and desorption of ion exchange resins to provide recovery process references for enterprises for technique developments and industrial promotion.
This study adopting strong base anion resin with regenerants NaSCN liquid for resin desorption reactions. The operating parameters such as regenerant liquid concentration, desorption time, regenerant liquid pH and regenerant liquid with volume ratio of resin were investigated to verify the effects of operating parameters on resin desorption reactions from the silver liquid waste recycling experiment. From experimental results that resin exchange ability of silver ions with regenerant liquid concentration and pH to increase and improve the effect of resin desorption reactions of silver ions and resin fully desorption reaction can be achieved in quick time. Last experimental results show using the pH=4 regenerant liquid concentration 15% is more effective and resin after desorption of silver ion recovery rate of more than 80%.
