| Summary: | 碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 公共事務學系碩士在職專班 === 101 === Historic site of Taipei Confucius Temple abounds with cultural tourism resources, especially Confucius Temple is a symbol to lead developing and solidifying the Chinese culture, which is of magnificent value to Taipei as the capital and Taiwan as a whole for succeeding the Chinese heritages. Taipei City Government attempted to combine Confucius Temple, Bao An Temple and Talung Elementary School together with the neighboring area to reshape this whole historic site as one cultural landscape, in order to create the opportunity for promoting the tourism for both Taipei City and Taiwan.
Under the “Project Vanguard for Excellence in Tourism” implemented by Tourism Bureau of Ministry of Transportation and Communication, Taipei City Government tried to build this area as one of the most attractive international tourism scenic points, through the strategies carried out to “reserve the historic memory”, to “regenerate the Confucian culture” and to “reshape the Confucian’s Cultural Landscape” as well.
The methodology adopted by this thesis includes the semi-structural interviews guided by the pre-formulated outlines and making use of the literatures as the second-hand materials. After analyzing and summarizing the information derived from the interviews with the relevant personnel involved in promoting and developing the afore-said renovation project, the characteristics of the Confucius Historic Site is identified, provided to the Central Government as the basis to help the Local Governments build the attractive international tourism scenic points as well as to establish a sustainable operating mechanics for the tourism industry.
