Summary: | 碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 觀光事業學系碩士在職專班 === 101 === The study intended to explore the psychological and physical effects of the early childhood who experienced in the leisure and recreation activities by analyzing the status of those in the six early childhood pre-schools in New Taipei City. 280 questionnaires were issued to the children’s parents while 153 (54.6%) were usable (i.e. both pre-test and post-test were done as well as questionnaires were collected).
Empirical results showed that positive effects significantly existed after the physical fitness of the leisure and recreation activities like sit-up, standing long jump and agility. The motivations of the leisure and recreation participation of the early childhood had a significant effect on “joyfulness”, which implied that they tended to be neither tensional, sensitive or nervous, nor over fearful or anxious. There was correlation between early childhood leisure and recreation participation and that of their parent(s), which implied that the choices of the parent leisure and recreation activities would impact those of their children. Early childhood leisure and recreation participation was also relevant to their own motivations. Catagories of leisure and recreation participation such as health, music, art, language, education and outdoor activities were related to motivations like learning, entertaining, socializing, convenient location and relaxing. In addition, the leisure and recreation talent related courses with the special/regular physical fitness activities for the early childhood pre-schools showed better effects on children’s physical fitness status according to the post-test results. The parents or organizations could refer to the results of this study during their activity planning for the early childhood.
