Description
Summary:碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 電子工程學系碩士班 === 101 === When humans are becoming older and older, human’s memory will degenerate gradually, especially for the group of senior citizens. Their memory will even deteriorate to affect their normal lives. For example, it is difficult for senior citizens to find the daily-use items because of those positions have been easily forgotten by them. Therefore, to design a system to help senior citizens for recalling the positions of forgotten items is essential and useful for them. This thesis presents a memory calling system for senior citizens by using video recording, object matching, and video playing. Video clips are processed by a robust image matching and recognition algorithm – SURF (Speed-Up Robust Feature) to recognize objects of daily uses. Video clips are classified and then the video database can be constructed by object recognition. By using this system, senior citizens can search and play the video clips for daily-use items to recall their memory and find those items easily.
