Description
Summary:碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 諮商與工商心理學系碩士班 === 101 === Nowadays the current assessment of sexual offense recidivism mainly uses the recidivism assessment scale based on risk factors. However recent neuropsychological studies show that the frontal lobe functioning has something to do with sexual offense and recidivism. Therefore, the current research attempts to improve overall reliability of sexual offense recidivism assessment by using WCST test which is designed to measure the executive functioning of frontal lobe. In addition, this research intends to examine the correlation between cognitive perseverative scores in the WCST and Static-99 scores. Total 77 participants were recruited which including non-pedophilia 30 persons, pedophilia 19 persons, other crime offenders 9 persons, and community people 19 persons. This research result shows that significant poor functioning in sexual offenders, which reflect in the scores of perseverativ error and categories completed on WCST-CV4, nevertheless there is no significant difference between non-pedophilia and pedophilia. Besides, it does not show relationships between scores in WCST-CV4 and in the Static-99. The implications are discussed.
