碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 應用中國文學系碩士在職專班 === 101 === Confucius and Shiang Tuo’s story originates from China long time ago. It can be traced back toPre-Qin and Han dynasties. The story finally becomes a book named “Dialogue between Confucius and Shiang Tuo” after Tang and Five dynasties. The story is popular after Ming dynasty even spreads outside of China. When the story came to Taiwan with our ancestors from China. Confucius and Shiang Tuo’s story also can be seen in “koa-a-chheh”. “Koa-a” is one kind of talking and singing literature in Taiwan. “Koa-a-chheh” is the manuscript used by talking and singing performer. When the story is written in the koa-a-chheh, the same content can be presented in different ways. There’s no current research discusses about how “Dialogue between Confucius and Shiang Tuo” is presented in the “koa-a-chheh”. After reviewing all the articles about “Koa-a-chheh”, there’s no study about the Confucius and Shiang Tuo’s story content or writing technique even literal language. Therefore, the process of the story should be traceable, and this thesis will explore the issues related to the story developing. This thesis has six chapters, and each chapter’s content is as followings: Chapter one is about the research motivation and purpose, other people’s research reviews, research scope and methodology. Chapter two is about the story’s starter and development. Chapter three is about the story’s development and how it spread to other countries. Chapter four is about the study of Koa-a-chheh’s content. Chapter five is about the discussion of the Koa-a-chheh’s pattern. Chapter six is to sum up chapter two to chapter five and made conclusion.
