After the questionnaires were collected, descriptive statistics, independent sample T test and one-way ANOVA statistical methods were used to analyze data. The main results are as follows: 1. For the students who have used the Internet for more than three years, 51% of them are addicted to online gaming. 2. The academic performances of the fifth-grade and sixth-grade students show distinctive differences according to their addiction to online games. The addiction to online games of the students with low academic performance is significantly higher than the the students with high academic achievement. 3. The network behaviors of the fifth-grade and sixth-grade students also affect their addiction to online games distinctively, especially in the "the years spent on Network games", " the hours spent in playing online games in a week", " the amount of allowance every month," "whether they will buy products of online games or not,"" how much money they use to purchase products of online games every month, "in what situations they can play online games, "and "with whom." The younger the students get involved in network games, the more time and money they spend. Moreover, getting closer to friends who play online games, the more addicted the students will be. Therefore, the study shows that the factors affecting addiction to Internet games of the students in the fifth and sixth grades include "time", "money" and "friend." 4. Grade, gender, parents’ occupations, parents’ levels of education, locations, whether the parents play online games and computer devices are not related to online gaming addiction.
