Description
Summary:碩士 === 康寧大學 === 休閒資源暨綠色產業研究所 === 101 === The environment of our earth is becoming worse and worse, and environmentalists around the world are worried about it. Under our government’s enforcement of Environmental Education Act, educational workers have reached a consensus on the issue of environmental protection. Knowing how to blend green living cognition into school curricula and realizing the importance of self-consciousness of health may play an exemplary role in teaching and educational administration and unobtrusively and imperceptibly influence the younger generation. This study adopts the way of analyzing 391 questionnaires given to the primary school teachers in Yunlin County. The result shows that males are superior to females in both green living cognition and self-consciousness of health. When it comes to green living cognition, teachers without administrative work are better than those who are in charge of administrative work, but there are no significant differences between these two sorts of teachers in self-consciousness of health. Moreover, teachers who do not instruct their students in organic vegetable gardening do better than those who do in the measurement scales of green living cognition and self-consciousness of health. Therefore, the effect of the government’s promotion of organic vegetable gardening is left to be further studied. As for what field or what grade the teachers teach, or how long they have been working, or how big the schools are, it shows no significant differences. According to the linear correlation analysis of this study, there is a positive correlation between green living cognition and self-consciousness of health among these primary school teachers. I suggest that teachers blend green living cognition into any curriculum of each field so that the younger generation may have a profound concept of healthy environment.
