Summary: | 碩士 === 嶺東科技大學 === 視覺傳達設計研究所 === 101 === In recent years, a number of governments around the world have dedicated to promoting the cultural and creative industry to show the charm of their cultures, and Taiwan is no exception. In this new creative economy, how to preserve and develop one’s cultural identity will be a challenge to be dealt with. The study explored the cultural characteristics in each township and designed 3D postcards to manifest the area’s varied and rich heritage. The 3D postcard enables the comprehension of the dimensions of time and space in visual context, helps improve concentration and attention span, and through cutting and folding, increase the time spent on the postcard to deepen the impression, and thus to arouse readers’ interest to visit one day the place.
The study investigated creativity techniques suitable for the work with reference to 3D postcards that are commercially available, identified unique cultural elements, such as the industries, scenic spots, artists, or food which the township is well known for, in 26 towns in Changhua County, and selected the most representative theme for manifestation on the postcards. The study finally presents twenty-eight(28) 3D postcards showing the characteristics of the townships in Changhua County.
