Description
Summary:碩士 === 龍華科技大學 === 工程技術研究所 === 101 === Water closets are important items of water consumption. An efficient water closet which uses less water for every flush yet still maintains cleanness of the water closet helps to reserve water resource. Despise of various brands on the market, not much has been understood about water closets especially about their performance of water consumption. Very few papers have been found related to water closets. This could reveal the difficulty encountered in doing study on the water closets. This paper and all of them are experiments. This research uses numerical method to analyze the transient flow field of a water closet when flushed. Because of the complexity of the geometry for a water closet, the computational domain was combined by several separately built regions. And the computational results of the flow field for the water closets agree reasonably well with experimental measurements. Government regulation currently allows no more than 6 liters of water for one flush of water closets. This research studies the flush performance of a siphon-type water closet under such limitation.
