Through their own perception, the teachers answer the related questionnaire which is based on “Occupational Stress Indicator, OSI”. So that we can investigate the relationships among the five aspects, including work satisfaction, health status, type A personality, job control and feelings on job stress, of OSI for the teachers under 12th grade in New Taipei City and the degrees of worrying about the shortage of school enrollment. There are 177 valid questionnaires in total, the results indicated that: (1) the teachers who are female, younger, shorter teaching-aged, private school and having no administrative affairs have lower work satisfaction, poor physical and mental health, a tendency toward type A personality, larger job pressure and more worrying about school enrollment. (2) the relationships between work satisfaction and health status, job control are positively related; while those between work satisfaction and the A-type personality, feelings of job stress are negatively related. (3) there is a negative significant effect between health status and A-type personality, feelings on job stress, and worrying about school enrollment. (4) there is a negative correlation between type A personality and health status, job control. (5) there is a negative significant correlation between job control and type A personality, feelings on job stress. (6) there is a negative effect between the degrees of worrying about school enrollment and health status. Based on these findings, it is expected that to provide the basis of reference to educational directors for offering mental counseling to the teachers under 12th grade.
