Quality course timetabling will consume labor and time. To gain better knowledge of course timetabling, this research conducts in depth literature review, observes various types of timetabling so that they can be categorized. Among various categories , irregular/non-repetitive course timetabling will be studied in this research. This study aims at constructing a procedure that can be utilized to implement irregular course timetabling. A binary integer programming model is developed to solve the timetabling problem. In addition, this study also utilizes a real world illustrative example to demonstrate how the developed model can be implemented for solving irregular course timetabling problem. The results are then compared with the course timetable accomplished by the school’s staff based on her/his experience and intuition. It is indicated the proposed timetabling procedure incurs better performance in terms of timetabling efficiency and teachers’ overall preference. Min-Chun Yu 余銘忠 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 98 zh-TW
