Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 工業工程與管理系碩士在職專班 === 101 === According to Vocational School Law, the main purpose of vocational education is to cultivate the skills required for vocations, to learn business ethics and rules, and develop adequate ordinary level skills for employment. The cultivation of skills depends on training from skill curriculum rather than the learning outcomes; the training is decisive in producing talented people for society.
As technology develops and society changes, industrial structures also rapidly change. Therefore the arrangement of curricula in vocational education is supposed to adjust in accordance with the characteristics and needs of changing society.
This research adopts an experimental approach. In the premise that it does not affect normal teaching process, ‘CADD’ Level C Certification of Professional Skills is integrated into a practical curriculum in the Drawing department of a vocational school to discuss how different teaching strategies influence learning outcomes. The research objects are students of the Drawing department at 11th grade from a particular vocational school in Kaohsiung city. There are two classes, including a total of 74 people. One class is an experimental group, adopting a ‘peer-counseling strategy’ whereas the other class is a control group, adopting a ‘general teaching strategy.’ The whole curriculum lasts for 14 weeks, each of which includes 6 lessons. The abstract of the result of this research is as follows:
1.Peer-counseling strategies can enhance the evaluation outcomes of students from the Drawing department in vocational schools in skill areas.
2.A peer-counseling strategy is more helpful for students in higher and intermediate levels.
