By using the CFD numerical scheme, the thermal transport and flow feature in the container are analyzed. In this study, the closed container is constructed by two adiabatic verticaltal walls and two horizontal walls of constant temperature. The temperature difference between the hot sheet and the horizontal walls induces natural convection and thus gloss flow phenomenon reveals in the container. Two different disposals of the hot sheet are considered in the study, i.e., horizontal or vertical orientation. The governing parameters considered are nanofluids (CuO-water) volume consentration of 1%, 3%, 5%, Rayleigh number (Ra) 10^3 ~ 10^5, and inclination of the container (γ) 0<γ<360. The streamline patterns, isotherm distribution, and the variation of the Nusselt number are illustrated. The study found that the fluid flow field and temperature strength, concentration of nanofluids, value of Rayleigh number, and inclination of container affect thermal feature in the container significantly. Furthermore, smaller tilt angle of the container and vertical disposal of the hot sheet will enhance thermal efficiency. Jau-Wen Lin Tsan-Hui Hsu 林昭文 許燦輝 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 72 zh-TW |
