Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 電機工程系博碩士班 === 101 === From the early analog cameras to the later digital cameras, camcorders` development is evolutionary. Digital cameras include general Camera, Ceiling Dome Camera, infrared cameras and even Pan Tilt Zoom camera which is developed recently. By making an overall survey of camera's evolution, it is easy to see that there are more functions cameras can perform that make them powerful. However, from the family community supervision, stores photographic surveillance, to the crime video surveillance, there are variety of places need to be monitored in order to prevent crime. The current common market supplies two types of surveillance systems which are single camera and dual camera monitoring systems.
Single camera is based on stationary surveillance system. It monitors with multiple separate cameras on split screen. It can be used in wide range and various places.
Yet, the dual camera surveillance system is the representative of Master-Slave monitoring systems. The difference is the usage of two surveillance cameras for monitoring, including static camera and dynamic camera. Static cameras are used to monitor the scene while it cannot be moved. On Another hand, the dynamic camera can be moved, and it can be used to get the target video.
However, surveillance video systems always have the issues on the monitored image resolution and the scene size. Although there are many types of surveillance systems on the market, its main purpose is to get nothing more than a clear surveillance video and majority vision of the monitoring scenes. Unfortunately, these two characteristics have positive relevance with their price. Sharper of surveillance video and wider vision of the monitoring scenes come with higher price. Therefore, this study hopes to achieve these two features which are clear surveillance video and majority vision monitoring scene through a lower price by dynamics cameras.
Due to the circumstances of the low cost, the camera system that this article mentioned is based on nine relatively cheaper PTZ cameras which constitute 3*3 array surfaces. There is also a track for adjusting internal range. This system includes three modes: The first mode is the broad scene monitoring. The second mode is the synthesis of high resolution images with low resolution images. The third mode is the image enhancement for certain objects. All these three modes rely on the three cooperating modules including hardware, correction, and software modules. The hardware module contains PTZ surveillance cameras and their direction and gap. Correction module seizes the external and the internal parameter of each camera. The software module obtains image information of hardware module and software module and process algorithm then achieve the three modes. Therefore, each of the modes will have to interact decently to get a good surveillance video capture results.
