First of all transform image into grayscale and calculate the pixel mean of a short sequence of video to be a reference, then compare the pixel mean between every image and reference pixel mean to judge the image has changed suddenly or not. Then classify image by using histogram. Then adjust tone mapping curve by the judgment result . In the last transform grayscale image after tone mapping into RGB space by using color reproduction. We propose a tone mapping equation by combine two equations .The main advantage is low computationally comparing with logarithm tone mapping and we could use this algorithm in the surveillance system.
