Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 財富與稅務管理系 === 101 === The primary objective of this study is to investigate the potential impact of trust mechanism and knowledge transfer modes on teamwork. In addition, this study determines whether or not knowledge transfer modes mediate the relationships among contextual variables. Inspired by the social exchange theory, this work devises a hypothesized model for exploring the links among contextual variables. Accordingly, in the conceptual model, trust mechanism is conceptualized as a second-order construct comprised of three complementary first-order dimensions: trust in coworkers, trust in supervisors, and trust in organizations. To clarify the relationships among these variables, structural equation modeling (SEM) is used to examine the hypothesized model’s fit and hypotheses. Using data from a study of 305 team members sampled from Taiwanese insurance companies, the SEM results clearly demonstrate the mediating role of knowledge transfer modes in the relationship between trust mechanism and teamwork. In addition, the result suggests that formal knowledge transfer mode is the most important factor. Moreover, this paper offers a contribution to the current literature by adding empirical evidence from insurance team members on the role of knowledge transfer modes in the teamwork.
