Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 人力資源發展系碩士班 === 101 === This study investigated the relationships between personality, job stress and service quality. A questionnaire survey of medical staffs in an area hospital was adopted to collect personality and job stress. A total of 450 medical employees completed the questionnaires and the effective return rate was 78%. In addition, a total of 350 the hospital’s patients and their families finished the service quality questionnaire and the effective return rate was 79%. The correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis were used to conduct the data and tested the assumptions. The results showed that the medical employees of different demographic variables were significant differences on their personality- extraversion, openness, emotional stability, conscientiousness and agreeableness Besides, there had a significant postive relationship between personality- extraversion and job stress, and had a significant negative relationship between personality- emotional stability and job stress. Moreover, there had a significant negative relationship between job stress and quality of service. In addition, job stress mediated the relationship between personality- emotional stability and quality of service. According to the result of the research, this study proposed concrete suggestions as reference for hospital management.
