Description
Summary:碩士 === 崑山科技大學 === 環境工程研究所 === 101 === In this study, floating aquatic plants salvinia (Salvinia molesta D. S. Mitchell), water lettuce (Pistia stratiotes L.), water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes (Mart.) Solms) and submergent aquatic plant hornwort (Ceratophyllum demersum L.) were used to purify campus sewage (recycled water). Based on experimental data, biomass production, biomass energy generation, and carbon fixation capacity of aquatic plants were evaluated.Hydraulic retention time of reactor was set at 84 hrs, biomass in reactor was harvested twice a week, and 20% of total area were harvested each time. Experimental results showed that dry biomass yield of salvinia, water lettuce , water hyacinth and hornworts were 27.4 (n = 83, RSD = 46.2%), 46.0 (n = 88, RSD = 36.6%), 70.3 (n = 65, RSD = 29.1%) and 14.2 (n = 31, RSD = 21.8%) ton dry wt./ha-yr. Biomass energy generation of salvinia, water lettuce, water hyacinth and hornwort were 10.5(n = 83, RSD = 46.2%), 15.4 (n = 88, RSD = 36.6%), 26.7 (n = 65, RSD = 29.1%) and 5.0 (n = 31, RSD = 21.8%) KLOE/ha-yr. Carbon fixation capacity of salvinia, water lettuce, water hyacinth and hornwort were 39.2 (n = 83, RSD = 46.2%), 57.6 (n = 88, RSD = 36.6%), 105.2 (n = 65,RSD = 29.1%) and 15.6 (n = 31, RSD = 21.8%) ton CO2/ha-yr. Conclusively, tested aquatic plants demonstrated high biomass production and carbon fixation of campus recycled water treatment, especially water hyacinth.
