Summary:碩士 === 崑山科技大學 === 機械工程研究所 === 101 === The paper presents the development of a testing rig for a bicycle's assisting motor. This testing rig could simulate the real environments the assisting motor will be situated. The assisting motor could be improved further by using the collected data in the testing rig. When the bicycle is climbing the hill or loaded, the controller on the bicycle will inform the assisting motor to output decent torque to reduce the driver's loading. In this research, the program was written in LabVIEW software on a personal computer to communicate with the Arduino microcontroller via RS-232 to control the servomotor on the bicycle. At the same time, all data will be recorded in the database on the personal computer. These data include actual bicycle speed, ideal bicycle speed, motor speed, current output and temperature of the assisting motor, etc.
