Recently, there are numerous products for the elderly investing by domestic/foreign corporations in the market. Accordingly, the present study explores the technology innovation on health promotion thru patent planning by means of incorporating both marketing investigation and CHI patent index using the analysis of patent planning based on database of USPTO, JPO, and TWPAT. Moreover, identify the technology roadmap to realize the trend of technology innovation for discovering the patent mines for avoiding the infringement and protecting the intellectual property of products. Finally, SWOT analysis is used to compare two major competitors in health product industry and provided the suggestions in technology development and strategies of patent planning.
