Description
Summary:碩士 === 開南大學 === 商學院碩士在職專班 === 101 === Industrial robots were introduced since 1970, and extensively used in industrial production such as vehicles, machinery, semiconductor and other industries. Due to the saturated market demand and applications, the major makers have to reconsider the application scope of traditional industrial robots, and establish the next stage of new application actively. In fact, Robot is the convergence of multidisciplinary technology. The robot visual servo technology is one of the vital areas. Patent analysis is not only a prerequisite for enterprises’ patent battle, but also highly related to technology strategy by providing useful information regarding competitors. Patent analysis can be a unique and helpful business strategy and common used competition analysis. The data source includes domestic and international databases, patent search database, technical retrieval database and expert opinions. The literature review incorporates patent analysis is thus concluded to provide more accurate trend analysis. Therefore, this study adopts patent life cycle to analyze US Patent Database from 1995 to 2010. The study findings show that most of the technologies are still in emerging stage. The technologies in growth stage are noise cancelling technology, monocular camera technology, depth camera technology, and most of the patents are held by the United States. The only mature technology is reverse motion mechanism technology, patented primarily by Japanese firms. There are fewer patents in the area of motion control technology, object recognition technology, object tracking technology developed in recent years to apply for patents, are currently under review stage, Our research suggests these technologies will file more patents faster than other technologies into the growth stage in next 5 years,. Therefore, Taiwanese R & D companies should pay attention to the development of these three kinds of patents to engage with technical licensing or technical cooperation with foreign companies to avoid patent infringement and paying a large licensing fee.
