Some students psychologically prone to suffer self-identity conflicts, and appear impatient and insecure. in the pursuit of self-awareness and the process of future development, it is highly possible to cause deviant behavior problems. Among those deviant behaviors that happened to junior high students, bullying incidents can lead to significant impact on students' personality, and even the social development in the future. Therefore, there is a need that we involve more attention and discussion on this issue of how to rectify students' deviant behavior and reducing bully incidents in school. Many researches indicates that service-learning is the process that students attain sense of belonging toward school as well as the society through the process of community services, and it also helps to bring changes of students' behavior both intrinsically and extrinsically. By service learning, that enable students to establish positive attitude, to promote self-care, to improve interpersonal relationships and last but not least, to adapt to their school life.In this study, we arrange service learning counseling to junior high students in Kaohsiung who have been bullied. In order to inspect these students' psychological and cognitive changes, we utilize the "Behavior of Distress Scale" before and after the implementation of the service-learning. Meanwhile, we also hold interviews with teachers of counseled students to better understand their behavior transition. This research discovered that students who has been bullied are more distressful than most people in school life, family, and interpersonal relationships. By conducting service learning as counseling method, we found significant improvement on their school life as well as interpersonal relationships. on the other hand, this counselling did not reflect positive effects in students family life. The result appears that service learning has positive influences to bullied students to some extends. This finding can be the important reference for schools on developing strategies and policies regarding to bullying prevention, and school bullying behavior counselling.
