Nowadays, Family business becomes extremely important to the economic well-being all over the world. Decision making in Family business is more complex than in other forms of organization. This paper is exploring the effects of age and educational diversity on decision efficiency and decision quality in small-medium Indonesia family business. Efficient and high quality decision is more crucial to ensure that the decision can respond to market opportunities and unstable environment.
This paper was exploring the Age diversity and also the moderating effect of Education in the relationship among age diversity and decision quality/ efficiency. Two research questions and four hypotheses for this quantitative were considered. A questionnaire will be used and SPSS and multiple regression analyses to test the hypotheses. This paper will contribute for Family business knowledge-base about controlling age diversity and education as a moderator effect. Based on this knowledge, Decision team can try to control age diversity so that decision efficiency and decision quality in the family business can be in balance.
